After researching the subject on the ban on Snell 2000 Helmets, I have decided to allow the Snell 2000 Helmets until January 1, 2014. I have talked with many other racing organizations and with SFI and I feel confident that allowing the Snell 2000 Helmet until the above date will NOT affect the Safety of our Children. Of course I hope you inspect your childs helmet and if you see any defects or cracks that you take that helmet out of service. With that being said, I will be updating the Rule Book to address the expiration date for Helmets in our sport.
